Thought I would start off Wednesday otherwise known as Arrow day in my world with a little bit of movie casting news.

As anyone who has read the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy you know that the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele are currently some of the most sought after in Hollywood.

There have been rumors for a while that our very own Vampire Diaries heartthrob Ian Somerhalder (Damon) is the top choice for the role of Grey but another CW actor has thrown his hat in the ring, Stephen Amell!

In a recent interview he revealed that he would definitely consider the role if offered by author EL James of the film execs…

“I got a link for a Christian Grey fan page, and they put a picture of me as Oliver Queen [Amell’s character on ‘Arrow’] on the site,” he said with a smile. “I’m doing kind of an a**hole-like smirk … and the page blew up. The likes and comments soared.”

Truthfully I haven’t given the casting too much thought, but I can definitely see Amell pulling off this role, he looks AMAZING in a suit, and can do smoldering, angry and caring…all important aspects of the character Christian Grey.

I just hope that a CW heartthrob wins this role, no matter which one! Who do you want?
