Comic Con 2015 – Day 3 Recap

Guys, day 3 was rough…I’m not going to lie.

The nerd and I did our best to wake up early and head down to the Con in order to get in line for the Game of Thrones Experience. I think they started letting people in at 9 and we got there around 9:15…..as we are standing there for no more than 5 minutes someone comes up and says they line has been capped, about 20 or so people in front of us…ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! So yeah not a great start to our last day.

After some breakfast we did some floor walking…which for me was agony. I don’t know what is is but I have this problem every year, but the end of Day 2 my feet hurt so bad I can barely walk and standing in line IS THE WORST…but I tried my best to not complain….I just prayed internally for the torture to be over. My feet did get some respite when I stumbled across the Her Universe booth and bought a really cute and ridiculously soft Star Wars sweatshirt….I guess shopping can cure anything.

In a last ditch effort to save the day we headed to the lawn outside the Indigo Ballroom to check out the FX Fearless area and the Adult Swim Carnival.

At the FX Fearless area we did a really fun activity promoting the new FX show, The Bastard Executioner, which was a one on one battle to the death!….well actually it was a battle for a hoodie t-shirt….but I am VERY COMPETITIVE.

I wish I had taken a picture of the outside / inside because there was some great production value….but it was hot and my feet hurt so I failed but I have included the trailer below.

The inside included a running maze, a test of strength (a high striker, the mallet game at a carnival), a test of accuracy (shooting arrows at bullseye) and a test of intelligence (putting together a puzzle). And let’s just say at the end I used the immortal words of Johnny Drama, held a t-shirt over my head and yelled “VICTORY!”.

This is my hardcore look...I'm channeling my inner Eminem circa 8 Mile.

After that we enjoyed the Meatwad Dome Experience at the Adult Swim fair…and then decided it was time to head back to LA.

So that’s it….Comic-Con 2015 is over, there were tears, there were laughs and there were not nearly enough Mad Max cosplayers….but there’s always next year!
